I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I hold a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Life Sciences (Psychology stream) from McMaster University, and a postgraduate certificate in Clinical Research from the Michener Institute. I am also certified in suicide prevention and have training as a Crisis Responder.
I am passionate about helping people who are struggling in their everyday lives to recover and regain their mental health. To encourage personal growth and resilience, I intend to work collaboratively with clients to help them help themselves. This includes identifying unhelpful patterns of thinking and maladaptive behaviours, looking at the impact on feelings, identifying core beliefs, and using positive approaches that accentuates strengths and solutions. I strongly believe in making people feel safe and supported through empathy and compassion. I trust that this would facilitate in building authentic relationships with clients which would further allow me to work with them on their therapeutic journey.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going on long walks while listening to music, and travelling to and exploring new places.
